Tn6027 is a large composite transposon (28 kb) found on plasmid pSRC27-H from a Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium. It contained several antibiotic resistance genes (aaC2, aadA2, aphA1, blaTEM, catA1, dfrA12, strA and strB and sul2) flanked by directly oriented copies of IS1. Derived from Tn2670.

It contained tet(X) sharing organization features and genes with conjugative transposon CTnDOT from Bacteroides spp. It also carried aadS (conferring resistance to streptomycin) and a putative streptothricin resistance gene (orf290).
