Characteristics
Tn6284 is a 22.6-kb Tn3-family transposon, found in plasmid pHN39-SIM from Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain HN39. It is generated from the insertion of In1208 into the Tn5046 res site, disrupting Tn5046 into two separate parts. In1208 integron was an In4-family integron, which carried IS6100, sul1 gene in 3'CS and six gene cassettes, containing at least seven corresponding genes blaSIM-2, gcu104 (unknown function), ereA1c (erythromycin resistance), catB3q (chloramphenicol resistance)-gcu161 (unknown function), arr3 (rifampicin resistance) and aadA1a (streptomycin resistance), respectively. Mercury resistance gene cluster (merEDACPTR) was also found in Tn6284 as part of the Tn5064.

Tn6285 is a 25.8-kb Tn3-family transposon found in plasmid p2246-CTXM from Shigella boydii strain 2246. It contained two separate fractions of Tn21 remnants (IRLTn21-mer-urf2-DRIn2- IRiIn2-ΔtniA and IRtIn2-DRIn2-tnpM), which were separated by the insertion of Tn6295 [containing erm(B)L-erm(B) genes] and IS26-mph(A)-mrx-mphR(A)-IS6100. It also contained ΔIn153 [containing two resistance gene cassettes aacA4 and cmlA1], a Tn1722 remnant (Δmcp-IRRTn1722), a truncated version of the ISEcp1-blaCTX-M-14-based transposition unit (IB14TU), and IS26.
