Tn6088 is a 43.3-kb Tn21-like transposon, located at the region of 5,781-49,059 in plasmid pSC138 of Salmonella enterica serotype Choleraesuis. It contains a truncated mer operon [merADE], two In2-like integrons, two IS26, and four internal transposons (truncated Tn1721 [tetA-tetR], Tn6089 [cat2 gene], Tn6091 and Tn6092 [blaCMY-2 and sugE (multidrug efflux protein)]. In In2-like integrons, two sets of gene cassettes (sat-orf054-aadA2-cmlA-aadA1 and dhfr-orf031-aadA2) were found with the sul1, qacF and qacEΔ1 in the 3′-CS. These two integrons also carry two transposon-like structures: Tn4352B [kan gene] and Tn6090.

Tn6093 is a 6.2-kb transposon, consisting of ISEcp1 and a fragment of the Citrobacter freundii-derived chromosomal DNA containing genes blaCMY-16, blc and sugE (multidrug efflux protein) and a part of the ColE1-type plasmid backbone (regions orf6, mobB and delta RNAII). blaCMY-16 is a gene encoding a C. freundii-like AmpC cephalosporinase variant conferring resistance to a majority of beta-lactam antibiotics. Tn6093 was originally identified in a Proteus mirabilis clinical isolate NO-051/03 from an Italian hospital.

Tn6098 is a 51-kb transposon conjugative transposon found in Lactococcus lactis. It was predicted to contain 59 ORFs, encoding proteins for excision and integration of conjugative transposons (xis and int genes), tRNA-Met, sucrose phosphorylase [sucP], ABC transporter, metabolism of α-galactosides (typical plant oligosaccharides) [agaABCR], cold shock proteins [cspB2-C2-A2], Mg2+/Co2+ transporter, and an N5-(carboxyethyl)-ornithine synthase. Several IS elements were located on this transposon, including two IS1216 (flanking α-galactosides gene cluster), IS981 (flanking LLKF_2275).

It contained 4 ORFs, including tetQ, rteA (putative signal transduction sensor), istA (putative transposase similar to IS21), and istB (transposon helper protein; similar to IS21 IstB protein).
