Characteristics
Tn6133 is an 11.5-kb Tn554-like transposon, found in Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) ST398 Strain IMD49-10. It consisted of the Tn554 sequence [containing tnpABC, ant(9)-Ia and erm(A)] with an insertion of a 4.8-kb DNA fragment which contained 4 ORFs, encoding a putative recombinase and Vga(E) ABC transporters [conferring resistance to streptogramins A, pleuromutilins, and lincosamides].
