Characteristics
Tn6655 is a 3267 bp composite transposon consisting of two copies of ISAba1 (inversely oriented) flanking 907 bp of DNA that harbours the blaOXA-237 gene (831 bp). It is found in the chromosomes of Acinetobacter baumannii 11A1213CRGN008, 11A1213CRGN055, and 11A14CRGN003 in a single copy and in A. baumannii 11A1314CRGN088 in two copies. It is also found in plasmids pO237-1, pO237-2, pO237-3, and pO237-4 in one, two, two, and one copy, respectively. Note that there can be two different versions of ISAba1 in Tn6655 differing by a nonsynonymous SNP in orf2 (orfB) of the transposase gene such that the mature transposase may have a K204 (AAA) or a Q204 (CAA). Tn6655 is 99% identical to Tn6252 which harbours blaOXA-235.

Characteristics
Tn6656 is a 3358 bp composite transposon consisting of two copies of ISAba1 (inversely oriented) flanking a 907 bp fragment of DNA that harbours blaOXA-235 (831 bp) with an additional 91 bp of the left end of ISAba1 in inverse orientation found at the right end. Thus, Tn6252 (ISAba1-blaOXA-235-ISAba1; 3267 bp) is wholly contained within Tn6656. Tn6656 is found in three copies in the chromosomes of A. baumannii 09A16CRGN003B and 09A16CRGN014. These two chromosomes also harbour a single copy of Tn6252.

  • Antibiotic Resistance
Characteristics
Tn6657 is a 14.4 Kb element made by a composite transposon of original structure carrying the poxtA and the fexB genes. This transposon is bounded by two copies of IS1216 in the same orientation and is part of Tn6349, an element cointegrated into the genome of the cfr-positive Staphylococcus aureus AOUC-0915 clinical strain in a phiN315-like prophage region. Additional IS1216 elements were present inside Tn6657, flanking the poxtA gene, which delimited smaller composite transposon-like structures carrying poxtA and fexB, and could have contributed to assembling the Tn6657 structure from different regions of plasmids or genomes of Gram-positive cocci.

Characteristics
Tn6658 is a 3940 bp composite transposon consisting of two copies of ISAba1 (inversely oriented) flanking a 1580 bp of DNA that contains a CRP gene (cAMP-activated global transcriptional regulator)(666 bp) and a OsmC family protein gene (osmotically inducible stressed-induced protein)(423 bp). The Tn6658 sequence is found in two copies in the chromosomes of A. baumannii 09A16CRGN014 and 09A16CRGN003B, six copies in 11A1213CRGN008, seven copies in 11A1213CRGN055 and 11A1314CRGN088, and eight copies in 11A14CRGN003. One copy in each chromosome, Tn6658alpha, can be considered to be the progenitor of the transposon as each of the copies of ISAba1 is flanked by their own unique 9 bp direct repeats indicating separate insertion events in this chromosomal region. Tn6658alpha can then be postulated to have transposed as a unit, Tn6658, to a different regions of the chromosome where it inserted by transposition as it is flanked by identical 9 bp direct repeats.

Characteristics
ICE6660 is a novel integrative and conjugative element (ICE) of the clc family, found in clincal strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is 112205 bp-long structure inserted into a tRNAGly gene (PAO1 locus PA2583). It carried various antibitoic resistance genes, e.g. blaNDM-1, blaPME-1 and rmtD3. It has two variable regions: cargo1 (~25 kb), between the P4 integrase and relaxase genes, and cargo2 (~30 kb) within the DNA methyltransferase gene.
