Tn6993 is a 14.2kb transposon found in plasmid pWE0254-1 carried by Enterococcus faecalis isolated from a human urinary tract infection. Tn6993 is a variant of Tn6674, carrying optrA, ermB, and ANT(9)-Ia resistance genes as well as a unique 1.2kb insertion of an IS3-family transposase.
