Tn6397 is a 114-kb conjugative transposon, found in Enterobacter cloacae strain A1137. It contains In73 and resistance genes including blaIMP-8–aacA4′-3, macAB, arsR. It consisted of the backbone and a single 63.7 kb accessory region inserted at a site upstream of orf318 and its backbone contained the tyrosine recombinase gene int, maintenance markers (parAB, umuCD, ssb, ecm, and ecoRII) and an F-type T4SS (rlx and tivF) for conjugal transfer. The Tn6397 accessory region carried Tn6378, the bcs region (bacterial cellulose biosynthesis), the arsR region (arsenical resistance), the cop (copper resistance) remnant and several Tn3-family transposon remnants and intact or residue IS elements.
