Characteristics
Tn6228 is a 32.5-kb composite transposon, found in plasmid pCADAB1 from Sphingomonas sp. strain ERG5. It contained two IS3 elements, flanking 25 ORFs, including genes for degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic (MCPA) acid.
